About Me

I am a full-time Christian freelance writer living in Greenville, SC with my husband and two dogs. After obtaining my BS in Elementary Education, I went on to teach K-4, K-5, and 1^st grade at a Christian school. While I loved teaching, there was always a part of me that wasn't satisfied and was longing for a change. So, after nine years, I walked away from teaching and began my career as a writer. Since that time, I've been able to combine my love of teaching and writing by offering one-on-one tutoring, as well as creative writing classes.

I am a graduate of The Institute of Children's Literature. My articles and short stories can be found in Devo'zine, Teacher's Interaction, Giggles and Grace, and other magazines, as well as on websites such as FreelanceWriting.com, HeavenlyGuide.com, FaithWriters.com, and more. My blog, A Word Fitly Spoken, offers devotionals to encourage and edify the saints. My book, The Deadly Darts of the Devil, is available at Amazon.com, and my middle-grade novel, The Delaware Detectives, is in the final stages of publication and will soon be available.
